Hi everyone,

I'm one of the many gamers who has always dreamed of running my own private server. After doing some research, I found that the MartySama 5.7 files are currently considered the best. If that's true, could anyone point me to where I can download the complete files (both game and server)?

Thanks a lot in advance!

I would use the 5.8 with offline shop tbh. But as a beginner you should start with clean older files and do everything yourself to get to know how metin2 serverfiles work. You need to learn some programming if you want to edit the source, quests, client etc. Don't just take public stuff and edit it in blindly if you don't know what you're doing. The programming languages you should learn are mainly C++, python and Lua. C++ for the source, python for the client and Lua for quests.
Good Luck!
