Hello, I want to bring you a short guide on how to prepare a vps for Metin2 and install the Ava2 files because I have received many requests for it.
First, you can buy a VPS from Contabo or OVH, with FreeBSD 13.2+
After logging into WinSCP or FileZilla, we log into PuTTY and do the following:
First: pkg update
Second: portsnap fetch extract
Third: pkg install -y boost-all devil gcc llvm llvm-devel gmake makedepend subversion gdb python python2 python27
Fourth: pkg install compat7x-i386 compat8x-i386 compat9x-i386 compat11x-i386 compat12x-i386 (If it's x32)
pkg install compat7x-amd64 compat8x-amd64 compat9x-amd64 compat11x-amd64 compat12x-amd64 (If it's x64)
With this, the VPS is ready, now let's install MySQL56
They need to go to the directory where the pkg file will be located, for example /
First: pkg install mysql56-client-5.6.51.pkg mysql56-server-5.6.51.pkg
Second: sysrc mysql_enable=YES
Third: service mysql-server start
To check if MySQL is working, type: service mysql-server status
Now let's go to the directory where the files will be, for example: cd /usr
We extract the files with: tar xvzf Server.tgz
Go to /var/db and extract the MySQL database with: tar xvzf MYSQL56.tgz
Now we grant 777 permissions with: chmod 777 mysql and then reboot
Once they log back in, we go to /usr/home and type: sh start.sh
And the server should already be online.
